Bombay Sapphire, the world’s number one premium gin launched its super premium expression – The Star of Bombay, for the Indian market through an exclusive three-day experiential getaway curated at Narendra Bhawan, Bikaner.
The launch was a spectacular journey of discovery to celebrate the beauty and richness of Bombay Sapphire. The experiential event also included Bombay Sapphire’s global annual property called the Grand Journey, an exclusively curated experience taking intrepid travellers on an inspirational journey to explore the stories, myths and provenance behind the botanicals that are used in Bombay Sapphire Gin.
“We are delighted to introduce The Star of Bombay to India. We wanted to bring to life the creative imagination and skilled craftsmanship that underlie the recipe of our new product. Weaving in the Brand’s journey imaginatively into a three-day immersive experience, we tried to bring to life a fantasy that took our guests on a whimsical journey… translated via an array of curious options – some interestingly epicurean, others novel and everything always enchanting,” Anshuman Goenka, Marketing Head, Bacardi India.
The event witnessed a glittering celebrity turn out including leading Bollywood actors and celebrities across varied industries like Kangana Ranaut, Huma Quershi, Saqib Saleem, Srishty Behl Arya, Chef Vicky Ratnani, Manasi Scott, Kubra Sait, Nimish Shah, Gautam Sinha, Rij Eappen, to name a few.
The recipe for Star of Bombay begins with the ten botanicals that lie at the heart of all Bombay Sapphire gins: juniper, coriander, lemon peel, orris root, angelica, almonds, liquorice, cassia bark, cubeb berries and grains of paradise. It is then elevated with the addition of two new botanicals; gently dried bergamot orange peel, sourced from the mountains of Calabria in southern Italy, and beautifully aromatic ambrette seed, sourced from Ecuador in South America.
The liquid is an elevated expression of Bombay Sapphire, which is beautifully bottled in a manner that enhances the existing features of the brand. The tapered Star of Bombay bottle’s concentric facets convey the depth and complexity of the Bombay Sapphire spirit.
