Vijay Mallya’s liquor stock up for auction

Liquor, amounting to Rs 78.45 lakh, from Vijay Mallya’s palatial house in Goa, Kingfisher Villa, is up for auction. A sale proclamation for the same has been put up by the central government’s Department of Financial Services Debt Recovery Tribunal.

In addition to liquor, other assets, such as a theatre worth Rs 23.48 lakh, Mallya’s Ferrari (for Rs 29.75 lakh) and a Pajero for (Rs 4.67 lakh) is also up for auction, which will be an e-auction, to be held on July 15 between 11 AM and 3 PM.

A total of 24 items have been put up for auction, of which the most expensive is his stock of alcohol. The total price of all the 24 items is Rs 2.3 crore. Other items that will also be auctioned include chandeliers and electrical luminaries, de-humidifiers, air-conditioners, tumble dryers, bottle freezers, phones and accessories are up on sale. All the mentioned items are in Goa and are open for inspection after the prospective buyer pay the earnest money deposit. The properties can be bought on individual basis, and anybody from India can participate in the auction
