Moving from the Luxury Division of L’Oréal to Bacardi India was an opportunity which opened up new doors for Anmol Gill. The new type of environment encouraged and propelled her to think more creatively, which paved the way for envisaging and executing new avenues of professional engagement. Now, as the Head of Customer Marketing, India and Neighbouring Countries, Bacardi India, Anmol has achieved spectacular success and created new benchmarks in her new role.

With over 10 years of experience with Bacardi, Anmol has led award winning campaigns and platforms like the Bronze Cannes Lion winning Dewar’s property, The Doers Club’s experiential, ‘You Got Chef’d’ content series and William Lawson’s partnership with Mumbai Indians for IPL 2019.

She is busy shaping new-age narrative for next-gen drinkers in a rather old fashioned category.

A Different Challenge

For Anmol Gill, the transition from a nonrestricted industry to a highly restricted one was quite a challenging step. At the onset of this journey she was apprehensive about working in a different and unique industry. But now she is so glad that she took that step; it has opened up new doors of creativity for her and she absolutely adores her work.

“When I moved to Bacardi, the interesting part was applying the codes as the codes of marketing are similar and can be applied and adapted to different brands. I learned during my career and applied them to a new industry for me, with new guidelines,” she shared.

She has been an integral part in driving some of the prestigious brand narratives, building revenue generating experiential properties and driving digital content befitting brand personas across India and SEA.

Exciting Activations

Sharing her experience, Anmol said, “Dewar’s is very distinct from your traditional Scotch brands. It is young, playful and fun and that is why creating brand properties or activations within its milieu was a very creative and challenging process. One of the key brand properties that was massively appreciated was ‘You Got Chef’d’ - a digital cookoff between a celebrity Chef and influencer food enthusiasts.”

According to her, what made the concept/activation special are the playfulness and fun challenges integrated within. The series also bagged two coveted awards - the Talent Track Award for best food content being one of them.
