Waterford Distillery has come up with a  whiskey which is believed to be Ireland’s first organic-certified whiskey. The name of the whiskey is Organic: Gaia 1.1. It was distilled in 2016. The newly released single malt whiskey is made with organic Irish barley by a group of farmers and it is certified by Ireland’s Organic Trust.

Matured in super-premium oak barrels, the whiskey is endowed with 50 percent ABV, and is devoid of the use of colouring, additives or chill filtration.

The newly released liquid is part of Waterford Distillery’s Arcadian Series. It is priced at 110 USD and is being available from 12th October in more than 20 markets. Europe and Asia will get 18,000 bottles of this organic whiskey, while 6,000 bottles of this whiskey will be allocated to the US.
