The Embassy of Peru in India, in collaboration with Le Méridien New Delhi is launching the gastronomy festival named ‘Taste of Peru in Delhi – Le Méridien Journey Through Peru’. Between 3rd-12th December, guests at the hotel will be able to enjoy delectable Peruvian dishes at buffet dinner at ‘The One’, ranging from the world-famous ceviche to the coveted causa.
Of course, no Peruvian festival would be complete without enjoying a pisco sour, made with Peru's national drink, pisco. Guests could enjoy it at this festival too.
Peru, South America’s third-largest country, has a millennia-old culinary tradition, and its cuisine is nowadays one of the most respected and sought-after cuisines in the world. The many ingredients of Peruvian cuisine come from its three regions—coast, mountains and jungle. Peruvian cuisine has also incorporated the flavours of many other countries, whose peoples have settled in its territory throughout history and become part of Peruvian identity after centuries of immigration.
The future Peruvian food festival in the capital will have the presence of the talented Chef, Julio Castillo, who is certified by the DGallia Gastronomic Institute and has vast experience in Peruvian food restaurants. Castillo participated in several gastronomy festivals and other related events around the world, including in Morocco and Madrid. His specialty is fusion Peruvian cuisine.
