Goa Kings Beer plans to infuse funds

Having achieved success in new markets and scaling new heights in volume, Viiking Beverages, owner of Goa Kings beer are now planning to bring in around Rs 200 crore through investors. The fund will be used for portfolio expansion and add two new production units, as per reports appearing in media. The company has realized that demand for Goa Kings Beer cannot be fulfilled by the firms two existing breweries in Goa and Jammu . Once a most loved beer in Goa expanded very fast after Viiking Beverages purchased the brand . Last year , the beer had sold about 30,000-40,000 cases but now it is selling more than 3 lakh cases a month and demand keeps growing.

 

Viiking Beverages is also looking to tie up with existing breweries under sub-lease model to boost production in the meantime. It has reportedly finalised one in Rajasthan and examining options in Telangana, Kerala and Tamil Nadu for picking one.

The company is looking at a demand of over 1 million cases per month across the country, with five south Indian states accounting for 40% of it. Outside India, the company plans to expand into the UAE, US, UK and Timor-Leste.
