Commenting on the launch, Dael Cassam Chenai, Wines Head, Pernod Ricard India, said, “We are proud to present Campo Viejo, as the latest addition to our portfolio of wines in India. For a young market, and given the Indian penchant for wines that are approachable and from the old world, debuting with two fresh, fruit-forward wines is the right strategy for us. Campo Viejo is the No.1 Rioja wine globally with over 35 million bottles sold worldwide. It is also the No. 1 Red wine in the UK. India has a great market potential and Campo Viejo is growing well around the world, so it made sense to expand into India. This as an exciting phase for us and we are confident that not only will Campo Viejo enhance our connection with the fun loving, experimenting, modern yet evolved Indian consumers, but will also set a new benchmark in the wine category in India and become our second pillar after Jacob’s Creek”

Campo Viejo makes its debut in India with two joven wine variants, a 100% Tempranillo and a Viura-Tempranillo Blanco
