Chandigarh starts 8th round of liquor vends' auction

Chandigarh’s excise department has started the eighth round of auction of 11 liquor vends in its jurisdiction, for the financial year 2024-25. In this regard, an online bidding process has been initiated and financial bids are expected to be opened on 10th May.

Recently, the excise department of Chandigarh successfully auctioned three liquor vends during the seventh round of auction, which was held in the new financial year. For the financial year 2024-25, a total of 97 retail liquor outlets were fixed to be allotted. As per the report, out of 97 liquor vends in Chandigarh 86 have already been successfully auctioned.
