Bhutan Slated to Become a Preferred Beer Brewing Destination for India By 10 Jun 2019 in Latest News New Update According to the report of a leading news daily, many Indian beer companies are brewing their beer in the neighbouring Bhutan, in order to access the natural spring water from the Kingdom. Water is a crucial ingredient that influences the flavour of beer. It seems some beer industry players in India are believing that water in Bhutan is to be of higher quality than in India. Probably they are right too. Take the case of craft bottled craft beer brand Kati Patang, which entered in Delhi some seven months ago. It is getting its amber ale brewed at the Ser Bhum Brewery, which is located in Hungtsho, Bhutan. In the ensuing two months, Kati Patang has plans to expand distribution to Mumbai and Bengaluru which would be followed by exploring the Bhutan market.
