Girls get their ‘Madhushala’ By 02 Sep 2019 in Cover Story New Update Mentored by Abhijeet Roy, two promising girls, bartenders themselves and wine enthusiasts dared to open their own academy – Madhushala – to bring forward the talent in girls and inspire more women into this noble career, challenging and breaking all orthodox tabboos. This institute is first of its kind in India; meant to encourage women to join the bartending league and earn respect in the beverage industry with their well-groomed skills. Simran Singh, flair trainer and mixologist and Gisela Dsouza, Mixologist & trainer were inspired by women stalwarts of the industry like Shatbi Basu and Amy Shroff and dared to take up the challenge to go a step ahead and open this modern school of beverage to inspire girls. Madhushala offers a two-month course, well designed to meet the desired requirements of the current trends in bartending. It will impart hands-on flairology training and skill sets for crafting cocktails. This course will train girls in the way so that they could be easily absorbed in any top bar & restaurant and in five-star hotels. That’s not all.
