Diageo India’s Singleton of Glendullan Masterclass at Spiritz Achievers Awards 2019 was one such soiree that many were eager to attend. It helped to give the audience a multi-sensory experience. The event focused on the unique characteristics of the single malt that could be enjoyed right from the first sip.

The session was conducted by Ajay Nayyar, Diageo Reserve Ambassador, who guided the attendees through a well-crafted experience appealing, to the senses of sight, smell, taste and touch. An experience through each flavour profile of Singleton Glendullan helped the audience discover the delectable expressions of the single malt and understand its exceptional
base that make it a perfect pairing for a variety of culinary dishes and cuisines.

The Singleton Sensorium recreated the Speyside region of Scotland; welcoming guests to explore a one-of-a-kind tasting paired with honey, green apple, almonds and vanilla pods that helped whisky aficionados experience and understand the flavour profile and maturation process. It delved deeper into the aging process of the single malt in American oak bourbon barrels and European sherry casks, which ultimately imparts its
sweetness & rich nuttiness.

The session had an expansive dining table, which was enlivened by the warmth of burning candles and by the aroma of vanilla and chocolates.

The experience engaged with whisky enthusiasts including F&B professionals; taking them through Singleton of Glendullan’s rich history, unique production process and flavours, that brought alive the complexity of the single malt that is delicate, light and perfectly balanced.

Succinctly, the session took the experienced imbibers and novice malt drinkers on a Speyside storytelling adventure; highlighting the provenance of the liquid in an ‘unapologetically enjoyable’ way.
