Applebee’s maiden outlet in Bengaluru

Orion Mall in Bengaluru came up with Bengaluru's first outlet of American eatery Applebee’s. This marks the launch of Applebee's brand in India too.The chain is known for its grill bars and pancake joints. The outlet is spread across 3700 sq.ft. California-based Applebee’s is being introduced to India through a franchisee format. Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar and International House of Pancakes are owned by Dine Brands, a publicly traded food and beverage company based in Glendale, California.

Applebee’s launch in India was through an agreement with Rohit Malhotra and Jayaprakash Mutharayappa of Dine Brands International Franchisees. Originally scheduled to open in 2020, Applebee’s India entry was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
