Air India reviewing its alcohol serving policy

New Update
Air India reviewing its alcohol serving policy

Following the shocking incident of an inebriated man urinating on his co-passenger in an Air India flight from New York to Delhi, the airline is reviewing its alcohol serving policy. Already the airline has de-rostered a pilot and four cabin crew of that flight where that notorious incident occurred.

At present Air India doesn’t serve alcohol to its domestic flight passengers. On international flights of Air India, the airline does serve complimentary liquor but it is not unlimited. The quota of alcohol to be served is based on the class the passenger is travelling on. On Economy, lesser alcohol is served than on Business and First class. Cabin crew’s discretion as to how much alcohol is to be served to a passenger is also in place.
