Pernod acquires minority stake in EcoSpirits

Through its venture capital fund, Pernod Ricard has purchased a minority position in EcoSpirits. EcoSpirits is a low-carbon, low-waste distribution system for the wine and spirits industry that does away with glass bottles and secondary packaging.

The agreement, made through Convivialité Ventures at Pernod Ricard, is expected to strengthen EcoSpirits' ‘leadership position.’

Along with the New York-based circular economy investment fund Closed Loop Partners, Singapore-based Pavilion, Capital Proterra Asia, and EcoSpirits' current sponsor, Wavemaker Partners, Pernod Ricard participated in a US$10 million Series A funding of EcoSpirits.
