Diageo India releases Godawan 100

Diageo India has introduced Godawan 100, a specially crafted 100-bottle batch of collector's edition Single Malt, to honour the Great Indian Bustard, also known as Godawan, on its first anniversary.

The bird was formerly a common sight throughout India, but its population has now decreased to only a few hundred. Every new member of the Godawan flock counts and the company is fully committed to the ecological and environmental preservation of the bird.

The liquid is double matured in American Ex Bourbon and European Oak Casks and is made from Indian six-row barley. It has been matured at Alwar 101-Degree F. This dark amber liquid, with a sweet and creamy palate, has an intense richness of fruits and grapes.
