Craigellachie releases 37 Years Old single malt whisky

Craigellachie, a Speyside distillery, has introduced a limited edition 37-year-old single malt Scotch whisky.

The whisky was distilled in 1984. Before being shifted into first-fill Bourbon casks, the liquid was initially aged in refill casks.

Along with a distinct note of pineapple, the flavour of the whisky also features undertones of citrus, vanilla, and creamy coconut. The aroma begins with notes of pineapple tarte tatin and crème anglaise, which are being balanced with soft cereals and notes of toasted banana bread.

With 46.5 percent ABV, Craigellachie 37 Years Old is limited to 3,012 bottles and is priced at US$3,245 per bottle.

By1st August the product will be launched in travel retail in Istanbul, Frankfurt and Amsterdam, exclusively via Gebr Heinemann, and later it will be available in the UK, Germany, France, China and Taiwan.
