Liquor prices increase in Assam

The policy changes in Assam have led to an increase in liquor pricing, due to hike the tariff from 4 percent to 25 percent on different categories of alcoholic beverages.

The hike in tariff has not gone well with the liquor vendors. As per reports, wine stores across the state have gone on strike and shut their doors to protest against the tariff hike.
