Tamil Nadu to introduce tetra packs

Tamil Nadu has planned to introduce liquor in tetra packs for sale.

According to S Muthusamy, Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Prohibition and Excise, bottles get broken and damaged sometimes which could be circumvented if tetra packs are introduced. On the other hand, empty liquor bottles are released as waste materials on fields or farmlands causing environmental pollution.

Moreover, the minister promised that the staff at the 500 Tasmac outlets, which were closed, would be swiftly redeployed to other stores.
