Kerala to study Goa's liquor trade

Kerala government has authorised the excise department of Kerala to study and research the liquor manufacturing method in Goa.

Two officers will be assigned by Kerala's Excise Commissioner for the task. They will research cost-effective spirits production methods, spirits’ manufacturing processes, and marketing tactics.

This step was taken after a meeting with Kerala’s distillery owners who suggested that Goa’s liquor policy, its excise duty, licensing, functioning of microbreweries, etc. are advantageous to Goa and must be studied.
