Tourism gets a fillip in Rajasthan

Rajasthan has become the first state in India to grant full industrial recognition to tourism and hospitality industries. 802 tourism units have been authorised in Rajasthan during December 2018 to June 2023, which will generate an investment of Rs. 10,463.47 crore for Rajasthan.

A total of 40,785 people in the state will have employment opportunities through these approved tourism units.

The President of India was a member of the Rajasthan Inquiry Committee, which was established in the year 2022. The committee oversees 379 tourism-related pilgrimages, of which 55 have already been completed and 149 are currently in various stages. This initiative is expected to generate an investment of Rs. 14,679.63 crore in Rajasthan and provide employment for 60,687 people.
