New expression from The GlenAllachie

The GlenAllachie distillery, a Speyside Scotch whisky producer, has announced the release of The GlenAllachie 30-Year-Old Cask Strength Batch 3. It is the third batch of its oldest core expression.

It is the product of being aged in hand-selected American virgin oak casks, Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso casks, all of which dating back to the 1990s.

Only 2,400 bottles of this product were made with a suggested retail price of $864. The liquid is bottled at 48.9 percent ABV and has the aromas of stewed plums, grated ginger, and chocolate-covered hazelnuts.
