Five fresh arrests in Delhi liquor policy case

The CBI has filed a new supplementary charge sheet against five people in the Delhi liquor policy case.

According to a CBI spokesperson, this is the second supplemental charge sheet in the case brought against Chanpreet Singh Rayat, an AAP volunteer, Arvind Kumar Singh, Creative Head of M/s India Ahead News, Rajesh Joshi, Director of M/s Chariot Productions Media Pvt. Ltd. as well as employees of M/s Chariot Productions Media Pvt. Ltd., Damodar Prasad Sharma and Prince Kumar.

All these accused were allegedly involved in transferring ill-gotten money amounting to around Rs 44.54 crore to Goa via the hawala channel.

According to officials, they are all suspected of using the money obtained from the alleged scam to support the AAP's campaign for the Goa assembly elections.
