Tasmac to advise new drinkers

Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation Limited is planning to identify individuals who visit liquor shops for the first time in order to advise them about the negative effects of liquor.

This was reported by Minister for Prohibition and Excise of Tamil Nadu, S Muthusamy who added that alcohol consumption would be discouraged for those who have health issues. However, the Minister did not specify how newcomers to alcobev consumption or senior individuals with health difficulties would be recognised.
