Goa permits 24x7 liquor sale at airport

The government of Goa has given a distinct advantage to retail liquor outlets at airports in the state by allowing them to run 24x7.

The permission, which was accomplished by modifying the Goa Excise Duty Act of 1964, was announced recently. This move can give a fillip to tourism in Goa, in the long-run.

The annual fee for the liquor stores in Goa will be approximately Rs. 3 lakh for the sale of Indian liquor and Rs. 2 lakh for the sale of international liquor.
