The Macallan introduces The Colour Collection

The Macallan has released The Macallan Colour Collection which is a new range of exceptional age-statement whiskies celebrating the brand’s commitment to natural colour and reflecting the influence of sherry seasoning.

The Macallan Colour Collection, which is a global travel exclusive, comprises five age statement single malt Scotch whiskies which are 12 Years Old, 15 Years Old, 18 Years Old, 21 Years Old, and 30 Years Old and which costs $80, $165, $350, $1,100, and $4,455 respectively.

The Macallan Colour Collection 12 Years Old has an aroma of sweet oak, lemon peel with vanilla biscuits and pear on the nose and it has medium with sweet oak and citrus peel finish. The palate consists of syrup sponge with citrus curd, orchard fruits and a hint of nutmeg.

With medium with toasted oak along and citrus and cinnamon finish, The Macallan Colour Collection 15 Years Old comprises sweet citrus pastry with creamy vanilla custard and baked peaches on the palate with an aroma of gentle oak, vanilla toffee, candied orange peel and crystallized ginger on the nose.

The Macallan Colour Collection 18 Years Old is medium with sweet oak and orange finish. On the nose, it has the smell of Clementine, pana cotta, baked apples with sultanas sweet oak and on the palate, it has vanilla sponge, milk chocolate with orange, citrus peel, oak and honeycomb.

The Macallan Colour Collection 21 Years Old has an aroma of Crème Brûlée, candied orange and lemon, sweet aged oak with caramalised pineapple on the nose. It comprises tropical fruits, candied ginger, coffee creme, hazelnuts, dark chocolate orange and cardamom on the palate. 21 Years Old is medium with balanced oak spices finish.

The Macallan Colour Collection 30 Years Old is also medium with sweet wood spice and tropical fruits finish. On the nose it comprises the aroma of pineapple, dried mango, caramelised banana, crème brûlée with sweet aged oak and orange oil. Its palate consists of tropical fruits with almond, a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg intertwined with creamy baked custard and crystallised lemon peel.

The Colour Collection will be available at The Macallan Global Boutiques and in key airports and travel destinations around the world from September 2023.
