According to the sources, the Delhi government has decided to continue the existing excise policy likely for another six months. The present excise policy allows only government liquor vends to operate in the national capital and bars the private players to operate.
The file, requesting the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's consent to continue the current excise policy past 30th September, has been submitted. After CM’s approval, the file will be sent to the Lieutenant Governor for his consent.
