Maharashtra’s beer sales increases

Beer sales in Maharashtra have increased significantly in the last few months, while IMFL and country liquor sales in the state have dropped marginally.

In this financial year, Maharashtra has recorded beer sales of 14.08 crore litres until 31st July 2023, while in the previous financial year, beer sales in the state was 12.71 crore litres during the same period.

On the other hand, the sales of IMFL and country liquor in Maharashtra dropped marginally, in the first four months of the ongoing year. The sales of IMFL was 9.68 crore litres during April -July 2023 against 9.78 crore litres during the corresponding period of the last year, while the country liquor sales in the state dropped to 12.84 crore litres between April-July this year from 13.14 crore litres during the corresponding period of the last year.
