Delhi's excise revenue increases

The Delhi government's revenue grew by approximately Rs. 3,588 crore in the first half of 2023-24 because of consistent alcohol sales, suggesting the prospect of a record-breaking collection in the current fiscal year. According to officials, the Delhi government sold 27.6 billion liquor bottles between 1st April and 30th September of this year, bringing in Rs. 2,457 crore in excise duty and Rs. 1,131 crore in value added tax.
