Great demand for Indian products in Middle Eastern countries

The UAE food industry has stated that there is a significant demand for poultry, dairy, basmati rice, frozen marine items, and wheat products in the Middle Eastern nations and requested Indian government support for imports.

The UAE industry has asked the Indian government for assistance with streamlined certification procedures, improved communication with the Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), and standardisation.

They added that the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia would all benefit from the increased exports of food and food-related items from New Delhi.

Last week, while in the United Arab Emirates, Piyush Goyal, the minister of commerce and industry, had extensive discussions with these importers about how to boost Indian exports.
