New Managing Director of ITDC

M R Synrem, an IAS officer from the 2002 batch of Assam-Meghalaya Cadre, has joined as the Managing Director of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC). He is also the Joint Secretary and Additional Director General in the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

Synrem has held positions as CEO of Megha Health Insurance Scheme in Meghalaya, Secretary in the Health & Family Welfare Department, and Mission Director of the Meghalaya State National Health Mission.

Over the course of more than 20 years, he has proven to be an adept administrator through leading projects, plans, and initiatives in departments of information technology and communications, transportation, urban affairs, commerce, and industries, among others.
