UP introduces a new classification system for hotels and resorts

Uttar Pradesh's state tourism department has rolled out an innovative online classification system for hotels and resorts operating in UP by demarcating them into platinum, diamond, gold, silver, and bronze categories.

The objective is to elevate the standard of hospitality by assessing establishments based on quality, services, facilities, and guest experiences. Recognised hotels in UP under the new system of classification will also enjoy incentives, subsidies, and tax benefits, thereby fostering healthy competition and eventually contributing to the growth of the tourism industry in the state.
