Liquor licences issued in Gujarat’s GIFT City

Gujarat government has granted liquor licence to entities in the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) campus in Gujarat. Ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, last month the state government permitted consumption of alcoholic beverages at hotels, restaurants and clubs offering 'wine and dine' service in the GIFT City, in Gandhinagar district.

Grand Mercure hotel and the GIFT City Club are the first two premises in GIFT City campus who have received liquor licences under the relaxed prohibition laws in Gujarat. On the sidelines of Vibrant Gujarat summit, the Group CEO and MD of GIFT City, Tapan Ray shared that both the outlets were currently operating as per the state government guidelines from the GIFT City premises.
