After 16 years of negotiations, India and Switzerland have reached a consensus to seal a free-trade agreement. The Swiss Economy Minister, Guy Parmelin informed that both sides have agreed on a deal.
The Swiss Minister travelled to India after the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, to meet with his counterpart Piyush Goyal, according to a post by the Swiss Minister on the X, formerly Twitter. The outline of a deal was agreed, and officials are working to finalise the details, the Minister said.
