The newly formed Chhattisgarh government has approved the new excise policy for the financial year 2024-25 with a decision to not open new liquor shops in the state. Excise policy was approved in the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Vishnu Deo Sai led cabinet meeting on 24th January.

Addressing the media, the Chief Minister said, “The cabinet has approved the excise policy for the upcoming financial year, and we have unanimously decided to refrain from opening any new shops in the state”.
