Kerala government has increased liquor prices in the state in the new fiscal starting from 1st April 2024. During the budget speech in the state assembly, state’s Finance Minister KN Balagopal announced a hike of excise duty on Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) by Rs 10 per litre.
With this hike in excise duty, the state government estimated to generate additional Rs 200 cr revenue.
