Telangana makes liquor consignment tracking with GPS mandatory

Telangana government has issued a set of instructions to implement GPS tracking of IMFL / beer / ENA consignments to prevent theft or diversion and Gio fencing of routes. In this regard, the state government has brought out a notification to ensure compliance of its instructions.

As per the issued instructions, vehicles without GPS devices will not be allowed to transport IMFL/beer/ ENA/ wine in Telangana, from distilleries and breweries, from 1st April 2024.

The notification reads that every day around one hundred forty eight trucks of IMFL consignment, one hundred eighty one trucks of beer consignment, and sixty trucks of ENA consignment are moving from distilleries and breweries and reaching to eighteen Telangana State Beverages Corporation Limited depots.
