Kerala to introduce new security measures for IMFL

The Kerala government has decided to implement security labels for Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL), which are to be sold in the state. New security labels incorporated 30 security features to enable track and trace facility. It is the primary feature of this taggant-based holographic tax label with a QR code imprinted on it.

Newly planned track and trace system in the state’s liquor supply chain would ensure product safety and efficient inventory management and enable customers to know details about their choice of liquor. By scanning the QR code, any customer will be able to know the details of the liquor.

This new version of the hologram inbuilt security system will replace existing 15 security features enabled system that have been in place since 2002 in Kerala.
