Modi & Sunak assess progress in FTA By Spiritz Desk 13 Mar 2024 in Alert New Update Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephone conversation with Rishi Sunak, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. They assessed positively the progress made towards early conclusion of a mutually beneficial Free Trade Agreement. The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continue to strengthen the bilateral Comprehensive Strategic partnership. They expressed satisfaction on the progress made under the Roadmap 2030 in diverse areas including trade, investment, defence, security, emerging technologies and others. FTA negotiations between both sides are in an advanced stage. Barring a couple of subject matters, almost all issues have been resolved by both sides, according to a report.
