More women got liquor vends in Lucknow

In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, 370 out of 1,046 liquor shops have been allocated to women entrepreneurs for the fiscal 2024-25. Women entrepreneurs, who have been allotted liquor vends, will assume control over more than one-third of the liquor business in the city from 1st April, 2024.

Female participation up by 7 percent compared to the previous year. The maximum interest among the women has been for IMFL liquor shops through which trade of whisky, vodka, rum, gin and wine takes place followed by beer shops, according to a report.

Only five country made liquor shops and two model shops out of the total 1,046 liquor shops in Lucknow are left to be allotted.
