IIFA 2020 Postponed due to Coronavirus Threat By Spiritz Desk 16 Mar 2020 in Latest News New Update The forthcoming 21st edition of International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) has been officially deferred to a later date in view of the current Coronavirus attack, which has assumed global presence. Keeping the health and safety of fans and general community at large in mind, IIFA Weekend and Awards 2020 celebrations, which was earlier scheduled to be held during 27th-29th March with a pre-event festival, has been postponed. The new dates haven't been announced as yet. IIFA 2020 has many distinctions to its credit. For the first time in the history of IIFA, an alcobev brand Hunter Refreshing Strong Premium Beer from SOM Group of Companies will participate as the brand partner of IIFA. Also for the first time IIFA Awards will be held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and only for the second time this prestigious awards will be held within India. Bollywood star Salman Khan is set to host the prestigious award ceremony. SOM Group’s participation in the 21st edition of IIFA will bring more global recognition for the entire India’s alcobev sector and is expected to pave the way for larger role of the industry in the near future.
