Cherry Spiced Rum from Kopparberg

Kopparberg, the renowned cider producer from Sweden, has entered the rum segment with a product named Cherry Spiced Rum. Kopparberg endeavours to attract five million consumers drinking rum in the UK.

Cherry Spiced Rum, which is endowed with 37.5 percent ABV, is said to be inspired by the animals which come alive at night in the forests surrounding the town of Kopparberg, in Sweden.  The rum is also to be released in a ready-to-drink (RTD) canned format, mixed with cola, which is bottled at 5 percent ABV

The to be launched rum is to be ideally served over ice with cola and lime wedge. The release of the rum will be complemented by a campaign carrying the tagline ‘We are Different in the Dark’.

Kopparberg Cherry Spiced Rum and Kopparberg Cherry Spiced Rum & Cola RTD are to be launched in Asda stores across the UK from 22nd June. The rum has been priced at RRP of 25USD per 700 ml bottle and on promotion it would be available for 22 USD per 700ml bottle. The RTD cans will be available in a pack of 4x250ml at RRP 7.40 USD, and 6.20 USD on promotion.
