Shihori Matsui becomes Miss SAKE Japan 2020

Shihori Matsui was elected as Miss SAKE Japan 2020 on 6th July 2020. 

The competition was held at The Westin Miyako Kyoto, in Kyoto, Japan. 

The competition was postponed by four months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

By winning this coveted title, she becomes the 7th Miss SAKE Japan.

Shihori Matsui had a very cosmopolitan upbringing. She was born in Japan, raised in the US and had her high school done in an international school in Singapore. However, despite living in abroad for 10 years, she cherishes her own culture and proudly considers it as a part of her identity.

While chasing her dream of becoming a veterinary surgeon, a different dream; the dream to become Miss Sake Japan and spread the charm of Sake, which is one of the wonderful reflections of rich Japanese culture, permeated her being. 

“As 2020 Miss SAKE Japan, I will do everything I could to spread SAKE and Japanese culture to the world,” asserted the beautiful lady.
