The whisky broker and independent bottler Cask 88 has launched a new range of three single cask expressions of rum, which were being distilled in South and Central America. The collection is known as Cask 88 Rum Collection. The range comprises a 20-year-old rum distilled in Guyana in 1999, a 21-year-old rum distilled in Guyana in 1998, and a 19-year-old rum distilled in 2000 in Nicaragua.

Demerara Distillery, where the newly launched rums from Guyana were being made, has three of the last operational wooden stills in the world. The 19-year-old rum from Nicaragua is from Compañía Licorera de Nicaragua distillery, which is located at the foot of the active San Cristóbal Volcano. The world’s first carbon neutral, Fair Trade-certified spirit, Flor de Caña is the product of this distillery.

The 20-year-old rum is endowed with an ABV of 64.7 percent ABV and has been flowed in to only 55 bottles. It is priced at RRP of 150 USD. The 21 year-old rum is bottled at 60.9 percent ABV and it has been flowed in 149 bottles. The 19-year- old rum is bottled at 66.6 percent ABV and it too has a very limited supply of 190 bottles. Both the 21-year-old and the 19 year-old single cask newly launched rums from Cask88 are priced at RRP of 149 USD.
