Goa-based Latambarcem Brewers has launched a bottled craft beer brand named Maka di. Latambarcem, the makers of packaged Kombucha tea under the ambit of the brand Borécha, is endeavouring to tap India's craft beer market through its brand Maka di.
The brewer has five variants of beer under the brand Maka di, using ingredients sourced from different regions worldwide. The five variants are Belgian Blanche, American Lager, Belgian Triple, Honey Ale, and Bavarian Keller. Oranges of the Belgian Blanche variant have been sourced from Valencia in Spain. The malts are sourced from Finland, the UK, and Germany and the honey for the Honey Ale variant is sourced from the Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand.
Latambarcem Brewers, which launched its operations in 2017, plans to launch ten new craft beer styles every year. As of now, Maka di beer is brewed and sold in Goa with plans to float across other geographies.
