The UK freezes alcohol duty in the budget 2021 By Spiritz Desk 04 Mar 2021 in Latest News New Update Chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced that duty on wine, spirits, beer and cider will be frozen for the second year in a row during the UK budget 2021 announcement. Additionally, under the UK’s new budget, he has approved grants of up to 25,118 USD for a single hospitality business. This is in addition to the recently announced 6.98billion USD scheme for hospitality firms and retailers in England to help them re-open after lockdown. The move replaces the current monthly grant scheme. Previously, he announced 208million USD to help communities take over local pubs which are in danger of closing.
