Beam Suntory has released Laphroaig 10 Years Old and finished the Scotch whisky in oloroso Sherry casks to create a new addition for the brand's core range.

Laphroaig 10 Years Old Sherry Oak is the product of maturation in refill oloroso Sherry and American oak ex-Bourbon casks. Then the liquid did spend 12 to 18 months in European oak oloroso Sherry casks.

The Islay-made single malt whisky is said to have notes of manuka honey, bacon and maple syrup, combined with smoke, seaweed and a hint of salt.

Bottled at 48 percent ABV, Laphroaig 10 Years Old Sherry Oak will be available from specialist retailers from 12th April, priced at 90 USD per 700ml bottle.
