According to the survey the pandemic has already shifted consumption patterns of Indians much more than most others.

As per the published report, 29 percent respondent in India said that they have consumed more alcohol during the pandemic than before. However, China stands second with27 percent respondents on alcohol consumption during the pandemic.

A large proportion of consumers said their grocery shopping habits have changed over the course of the Covid-19 crisis in each of the 17 markets surveyed. Consumers in Mexico recorded the highest level of change in their shopping patterns at 83 percent. India follows with 81 percent respondents saying their shopping habits have changed now.

The survey was nationally representative in most developed markets such as the UK and the US. However, in emerging markets such as Mexico and India it was primarily representative of urban areas.
