Centuries old brewery releases aged sake

Two century old, Japanese Gifu brewery has launched its inaugural sake aged for 50 years. Sake named Kansha Daruma Masamune Vintage Koshu and process to produce inaugural sake project started by the sixth-generation owner.

It was originally produced in 1971 by the company founded in 1835.

This 50-year-old sake is Jinzhu-class sake made from sake rice Gohyakumangoku in 1971. It has a soft but unique taste, plus a fairly sweet and mellow taste and low amino acid content.
