Laphroaig releases cask strength single malts By Spiritz Desk 03 Aug 2021 in Latest News New Update Beam Suntory owned Laphroaig whisky has released the 2021 editions of its 10 YO and 25 YO cask strength single malts. Part of batch 13, Laphroaig’s 10 YO Cask Strength and 25 YO Cask Strength 2021 whiskies have been matured in ex-Bourbon casks. The Laphroaig 10 YO Cask Strength is bottled at 57.9 percent ABV and according to the official taste description, offers notes of Manuka honey and aromas of peat and smoke. It is characterised with a floral finish and spicy oak tannins and sea salt and it is priced at £77 (US$107) per 700ml. Laphroaig 25 YO Cask Strength is bottled at 51.9 percent ABV. The official tasting notes of the whisky exude acacia honey, pear drops, white pepper, thyme, and Islay algae on the nose. On the palate, it brings hints of heather honey, light wood smoke, lime, salt, and black pepper marinade. The whisky is priced at RRP £430 (US$599) per 700ml. The newly released single malt whiskies are expected to be available in specialist whisky shops from August and shortly afterwards on the Laphroaig website. Subscribe to our Newsletter!
