It was a night of celebration, joy & affinity
Every year, Spiritz Achievers’ Awards conferred on people, companies and brands are nothing but a testament of excellence achieved by each of them in their respective domains. The focus lights, camera clicks and wide applause received by each of the proud winners simply highlight their relentless pursuit for excellence to stand out in the crowded and fiercely competitive market place.
The day of the awards started with the lighting of the lamp that kick started the ThinkPad sessions. Industry captains, thought leaders and top hospitality professionals made all four sessions very stimulating. Simultaneously, multiple activities like Masterclasses, Cocktail competitions and Chef’s Challenge kept specially invited guests engaged throughout the day.
The evening of 15th December, awash in blue splendour, created a dream like setting for the honours to be bestowed at the Pearl Ballroom of The Leela Ambience Gurugram. Even before the clock struck 7.30 pm, the hall was spilling over with guests, drawn from the alcobev, F&B, hospitality industries. People from embassies, from corporate world other than the above-mentioned industries, and of course, prominent citizens from the national capital region also graced the event. Uniformed waiters moved around the hall, serving delectable treats, and ten stalls-cum-bars kept the spirits high. There was so much to try as a good number of high-end alcohol brands were being served there.
Come 8 pm and the awards started rolling out… Many guests were seen congregating around the stage to get a closer look at the proceedings. Industry veterans like Shobhan Roy (DG-AIBA), Satpal Chaudhry (COO,_Khoday India Ltd), Vinod Giri ( DG-CIBC) and Pradeep Gidwani ( industry veteran & serial entrepreneur) gave away the awards to some of the winners.
Neeraj Kumar (MD – Beam Suntory India), Rajesh Namby(GM-The Lodhi), His Excellency Carlos R Polo (Ambassador of Peru), His Excellency András László Király (Ambassador of Hungary), Ramon Masařík, (Deputy Head of Mission, Czech Republic) and Iliya Dekov, Head of Trade & Economic Mission(Embassy of Bulgaria ) presented another set of awards.
Walking up to the stage for receiving the coveted award amidst a thunderous round of applause and loud cheers must be among the finest moments for the recipients. It looked like the whole banquet hall was celebrating award winners’ achievement. Such bonhomie and camaraderie needed to be seen to be believed. Looking at all these from the sidelines gives us a sense of fulfillment that Spiritz had been able to build an affinity among the alcobev fraternity for the occasion.
Spiritz Awards have got their due prominence because of impartiality of eminent jury members and also because of the strict parameters adhered to while judging the nominations.
Once the glitter of the awards subsided, it was time to party. With bars flowing with the choicest of alcoholic beverages and uniformed bearers serving specially curated eats, the mood was festive and joyous. Guests were seen hugging, chatting, clinking their glasses and laughing with content; all paving into a lot of treasurable memories.
As such a large gathering of alcobev industry people was happening after almost 18 months post lockdowns, Spiritz team and some guests decided to party hard till the early hours of the morning!
The night of the Spiritz Achievers’ Awards will be remembered for a long time. We are waiting in earnest till another revelry in 2022 edition of the awards takes over!
